WE'RE FEELING FABULOUS!

Join us on Thursday, November 1st at 7:00 pm as we bring the Roaring 20's back to life! Ellie Laubner, author and vintage clothing collector, presents "Fabulous Flappers", a history of the era with pieces from her extensive collection. Mrs. Laubner's collection was featured in 2013 at the Allentown Art Museum. You can learn more about that exhibit here: https://www.lehighvalleylive.com/entertainment-general/index.ssf/2013/01/allentown_art_museum_of_the_le_2.html. As a reminder, bring along a friend (or two!) as this is a meeting that is open to public. Please note, in order to devote as much time as possible to the program, we're asking attendees to collect their snacks at the beginning of the meeting. You're welcome to eat as we hold the business meeting, which then frees everyone up for the program.

BEAN SOUP
Bean soup is now on sale- just $2.50/bag. Pick up a supply to sell from Amy Lalik or Cindy Gasper. All proceeds benefit the Concourse Club.

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK

Mary Smida is once again looking for your bake sale donations for Palmerton's annual Christmas in the Park festivities on Saturday, December 1st.  Our club has become known for the tempting assortment of treats that we offer for sale. We can generally use some help and a few tables to display our wares. Come and join us- we have a great time with lots of laughs.

HOLIDAY HOUSE TOURS
We're excited to once again bring our Holiday House Tours to the Palmerton area community! This year, we're trying something different- the tour will be Friday night, November 30th, the day before Christmas in the Park. We are in need of guides to work within the homes as well as the hospitality suits. A signup will be available at our November meeting. If unable to attend, contact Teri Delich or Sharon Minnich to volunteer your services. Preview night for guides is Thursday, November 29th. Also, tickets for the Holiday House Tours will be on sale at the November meeting for $10/each.

MEALS ON WHEELS CHRISTMAS PROJECT

Vinita Horinko is once again heading up our annual Meals on Wheels Christmas craft. Join us on Tuesday, November 6th (Election Day) at 1pm at Borough Hall in the upstairs conference room. No need to sign up- just show up to help!

SIGN UP TO BE PART OF OUR TALENT SHOW &/OR FASHION SHOW

Calling all members! We need you to be part of our January Talent Show and our March Fashion Show!  We're looking for 10-12 acts to showcase their talent - anything goes! Whether you sing, play an instrument, recite poetry, want to display and tell us about your crafts, we're want to know about it!

Also, we're looking for 5 volunteers to serve as models for our Fashion Show. All shapes and sizes are welcome! Now's your chance to strut your stuff! We've made arrangements with Boscov's where you'll get to pick your own outfits. If you like, you may purchase any pieces that you model at a discount as a perk. We're trying something new to register: sign up online for the Talent and/or Fashion Show at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a44a5af2da4fa7-20182019.  If online signups aren't your thing, contact Lisa Snell Kern as soon as possible. There are a limited number of spots, so don't delay!

SPOONS FOR VETERANS

Valor House in Jonas is requesting donations of metal spoons which will be given to veterans with food donations. The spoons are used to open soup cans and then eat the soup. Joann Kercsmar will collect the spoons at the November meeting and take them to Valor House. Anyone wishing to help out can bring one or more metal spoons to the November meeting.

BOXTOPS
The club continues to collect Boxtops, which we contribute to the Palmerton Area Junior High to fund field trips for students who have financial difficulty and would otherwise not attend. Please give your boxtops to Lisa Snell Kern.
