MONTHLY MEETING- THURS, APR 4TH- 7PM

Join us on Thursday, April 4th at 7pm at St John's Towamensing Lutheran Church on Fireline Rd. One of our very own members, Christine DeSousa, will open the book on her day job at the Palmerton Area Library. The history of the library stretches back to 1911. Christine will bring the story of the library to life at April's meeting.

April's hospitality committee consists of co-chairs Kathleen Detwiler & Deanna Evans. Members include: Becky Christman, Laura Curcio, Christine Eckhart, Kayla Herman, & Lynn Shupp.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR A FEW, GREAT WOMEN!
The Nominating Committee will present its slate of officer and committee nominations at our April meeting, where voting will then take place. We are still in need of two positions- (1) Recording Secretary (taking the minutes and reporting them at each Advisory Board & monthly club meeting) and (2) Arts Committee Chair (directs the Arts Committee whose main responsibility is to host our annual Art & Photo Show). As a special note, without an Arts Committee Chair, the club will be unable to host the show. With interest in either position, please contact Lisa Snell Kern at 484.515.0962 via phone or text. Because we need to present our slate of officers at the meeting, please respond by Wednesday, April 3rd with your interest.

CASH BINGO- APRIL 7TH

The club is once again partnering with the Palmerton Area Library to host a bingo fundraiser on Sunday, April 7th. Bingo will be held at the Aquashicola Fire Company. Tickets are on sale at the library for $25 and will also be available at our meeting on April 2nd. There is a work session on April 1st at 6:30pm to stuff packets for the event. Volunteers are needed for the work session and during the Bingo event. Please consider lending your assistance.

IT'S TIME TO GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY!
Our Friends of the Park group is getting ready to trim the roses. Join them on Wednesday, April 10th at 10:30am in the Rose Garden at the Borough Park. If possible, please bring along a yardstick, pruners, and gloves.

HOLIDAY HOUSE TOURS
It may be springtime, but we're thinking ahead to the holiday season. We're looking for a couple of houses to add to this year's Holiday House Tour. If you're interested or have a recommendation, please let Teri Delich know.

TRAVEL TOILETRIES
Joan Turko would be happy to collect any toiletries that you've accumulated on your travels. These items are attractively packaged and given out to those in need. If you've got one or two...or maybe even a collection of items, please get them to Joan Turko.
