Join us on Thursday, April 4th at 7pm for what is typically our busiest meeting of the year! We've got a great program lined up as we look to put winter behind us and get ready for the many shades of green in the spring. Jann Eline from Hickory Grove Greenhouses in Catasauqua who will demonstrate how to make a Kokedama, a Japanese string garden. Following the program and an abbreviated time of refreshments, we will begin to set up for the basket social.


Our Spring Basket Spectacular is almost here (Saturday, April 6th)! If you'd still like to sign up for a basket ($35 minimum value), please contact Judy Borger; to sign-up for baked goods, contact Mary Smida; to assist in the kitchen or to sign up for soups, contact Amy (Lalik) Buck. Specifically, Amy is looking for three more soups to round out this year's selections.

Baskets can be brought to the church on Thursday, April 4th (at our meeting) or on Friday after 11am. Volunteers will be wrapping baskets on Friday if they are not previously wrapped. As a reminder, baskets should have a card indicating the theme and the basket's contents (no prices, please). Where possible, please wrap the basket in clear cellophane.

​Kitchen items and baked goods should be brought to the event on Saturday. More details about arrival time will be given at the April meeting.

On Saturday, it's all hands on deck! Please wear your Concourse Club shirt while volunteering so our guests can easily identify someone who can help them when necessary. Last, please remember to spread the word among your family and friends.  

The invitations are out for our annual anniversary dinner and we hope that you can join us at Blue Mountain Resort on Thursday, May 2nd! Please submit your $35 payment to Joan Turko by April 16th. Cocktails begin at 5:30pm followed by dinner at 6:15pm. Entertainment is provided by the Strolling Strings from Parkland High School. The dinner is always a great end to our club year and to spend time among friends - we look forward to seeing you there!


The Bandstand committee is looking for ways to celebrate our 30th year of Summer Concerts in the Park. If you have any ideas and/or want to join the committee, please contact Joann Kercsmar or Marianne Smelas.

Preparations are about to start for this year's show. There will be sign up sheets for volunteering at the Art show and the Festival Ride Concession at the April meeting. The club continues to collect Boxtops, which we contribute to the Palmerton Area Junior High to fund field trips for students who have financial difficulty and would otherwise not attend. Please give your boxtops to Lisa Snell Kern.
