Join us on Thursday, September 7th for our monthly meeting at St John's Towamensing Lutheran Church on Fireline Rd. This month's program features a Fall Fashion Show by Wear It Again, presented by Tami Davenport, owner. The meeting begins at 7pm. 

September's hospitality committee members include co-chairs Caron Fenstermacher & Janet Heck-Salek. Committee members are Gwen Ebbert, Barbara Herman, Connie Holland, Patti Kohan, Joyce Paulinho, & Pam Snyder.

October's hospitality committee will meet briefly at the conclusion of our September meeting. Co-Chairs are Christine DeSousa & Lisa Green. Members include Kristen Bock, Lauren Bock, Debbie Miller, Gina Nichols, & Carol Ziegenfuss.

The Concourse Club mans the ride ticket booth at the Palmerton Festival during the annual festival weekend. Money earned from this event goes directly to support the annual Movie in the Park, which was once again a smash hit this summer. If you're interested in signing up to help, please check out our online signup at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0444A5A829A3FE3-festival1#/. As of Tuesday, September 5th, volunteers are still needed.


Silent Auction:  Our annual Art & Photo Show is already underway with a Silent Auction of items available for bid at the Palmerton Library through September 7th. The auction will then continue at the Art & Photo Show at the Sacred Heart Church Hall in Palmerton. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the Bo Tkach Foundation.

Art & Photo Show:  Artists will submit their works on Friday evening with judging to follow. On Saturday, the show will open to the public from 10 am - 7 pm. Sunday hours are 1 - 4 pm. A raffle drawing is available for entry; tickets were included with the materials sent to your home or can be purchased at the show.

Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed for a shift on Sunday from 12:45 - 3:00 pm. Please contact Carol Curcio if interested. Additionally, Carol has indicated that this will be her last year as the Art & Photo Show's Coordinator. If you are possibly interested in chairing this event next year, please contact Carol at 610.393.4625 or cacc@ptd.net. We're looking to train someone up to takeover next year so that there is a steady transfer of knowledge about the Art Show.


Come on out and help us with our Annual Basket Spectacular on Saturday October 7th! It's all hands on deck for this blockbuster event that raises thousands of dollars each year to support our local non-profit organizations. The event is held at St John's Towamensing Lutheran Church from 10 am - 2:30 pm. Tickets were distributed to club members. We'd love if you could spread the word about our basket social. Signups are going around for baskets, kitchen help, kitchen donations, bake sale donations, bake sale assistance, and volunteers for the event throughout the day. Joan Turko would be happy to collect any toiletries that you've accumulated on your travels. These items are attractively packaged and given out to CACPAC clients. If you've got one or two...or maybe even a collection of items, please get them to Joan Turko.
