SEPTEMBER MEETING- SEPT 1- WHAT'S HAPPENING IN PALMERTON

We're kicking off the club year and catching up on all things Palmerton! Join Mayor Don Herrmann and Police Chief Tim Kromer on Thursday, September 1st at 7pm at St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church on Fireline Road. Come with questions or just to know more about what is going on in the community. We have a busy fall season planned and we'll be talking about all of the ways that our members can pitch in as well as distributing sign-up sheets in the meeting. Hospitality co-chairs for the September meeting are Carol Meixell and Cynthia Mengel-Smith. Committee members include Becky Christman, Stacey Connell, Kathy Hager, and Barb Snell.


The October Hospitality committee will gather at the conclusion of our September meeting. Co-chairs for October are Christine Campbell and Lisa Green. Committee members are Christine DeSousa, Christine Eckhart, Michelle O'Neill, and Doreen Smith.


CONCERTS & MOVIE IN THE PARK

ART & PHOTO SHOW

This year's Art & Photo Show is gearing up to take place over Festival Weekend. Submissions are needed and can be registered at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc9zNb7-bI2zSdmdQwEgzb7D4Ryl8EoEWe3dQ3rnZFFuQPwzg/viewform by September 7th. Art dropoff is Friday, September 9th with the show open to the public on September 10th & 11th. Contact Carol Curcio for more information or to volunteer.


FESTIVAL TICKET BOOTH

BASKET SPECTACULAR PLANNING

Looking for a few great women (and we know you're one of them!)...Marcy Lesko and Meredith Koons are looking for basket donations for our annual fundraiser, as well as members to sell tickets, work the kitchen (Coordinator- Amy Buck), bake for the bake sale (Coordinators- Barbara Hafer-Prout or Susan Prout), and more! Sign-ups will be passed around at our September meeting in preparation for our basket spectacular on Saturday, October 8th. If you're unable to make the September meeting and want to help, contact one of the coordinators.


BOSCOV'S DAYS- OCTOBER 19TH

Joan Turko is once again distributing Boscov's tickets for October 19th. For just a $5 donation, you will receive an exclusive discount ticket that is usable at any Boscov's store on that date. Gather your family or friends and make a day of it! Reach out to Joan at our September or October meetings, or contact her directly.
